I had my procedure at solihull hospital on Saturday 19th July. From the time I arrived in pre op ward I was given attention and help. I signed all the necessary forms and consent. The nurse was friendly and helpful. The ODP lady from theatres was lovely telling me what was happening we had a good chat whilst she prepared me for my op. The anaesthetist and surgeon met with me prior to the op and discussed exactly what would happen, we went through my health status and any concerns I had. After the op I woke up in recovery room with a nurse present monitoring my health. We discussed my outcome and status. I was then transferred to ward 15 for overnight stay. All the staff were so helpful, attentive and friendly. Monitored all 6 patients in our ward. We all had our routine blood pressure, blood sugars, medication managed so well. Any concerns we had were dealt with immediately. Food was good, ladies who delivered food were friendly. After not eating since Friday night until lunch on Sunday due to me being ill from anaesthetic, I appreciated the food and tea. Before I left the hospital the physio met with me to discuss future appointments. Thank you to all staff and doctors/specialists who looked after me so well. Great hospital, good experience.
