"disappointed"

I attended the emergency department in June with severe pelvic pain. Following various tests I was allowed to go home and was told that it was nothing serious but that I should see my GP to follow up on the blood test results which had shown abnormalities. The first doctor I saw was very friendly and seemed to take me seriously. But unfortunately the doctor she handed over to was useless. She had not bothered to read up on the notes the previous doctor had taken. She told me many women come to A&E with pelvic pain and more often than not they nevee find the cause. I mentioned that my GP had suggested I could have endometriosis, but she told me this was definitely not possible because it would have shown up on an ultrasound scan I had been given two days earlier. She said she did pelvic surgery and so knew what she was talking about. She didn't know what she was talking about and was very wrong. The only way to diagnosis endometriosis is through a laparoscopy. I have since had one of these and have been diagnosed with endometriosis. Thank goodness I didn't listen to her and followed up on my concerns by seeing my GP who referred me to a specialist.
