"My girlfriend was rushed into ..."

About: Heartlands Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My girlfriend was rushed into heartlands earlier in feb - appendicitus, i was completely amazed at the quality & number of people who looked after her.

she had it removed.

What a really fantastic organistaion we have in th uk - I hope we always have it regardless of the countries financal status - in case it happens to me.

It really is good

It must be very frightning if this happened whilst visiting/working in an eastern block country with no cat scans /equipment.

Thanks to all

What could be improved

I would like it to be less frightning when going for an operation, i.e. put to sleep in the ward?

and wake up in the ward?

Anything else?

Thanks again

Thank you for your feedback. We understand hospitals are frightening places for some although, unfortunately, it is not always in the patient's best interests to be put to sleep on the ward. Our clincial teams do their best to reassure patients and ensure they know exactly what will happen and when as well as answering any questions they might have.
