I was induced a week early at the ruh and could not fault my time spent at at the hospital or any of the staff. When being induced I was explained the progress and what they do etc by a lovely midwife who made me feel relaxed and comfortable as I especially nervous due to problems throughout my pregnancy. I was taken up to the ward with my partner and we both felt very welcomed and cared for. The midwives ensured me and the baby were ok and always made sure that if we were worried or not sure of anything to ask at any time. He facilities were very clean and I had a lovely bath. Early morning I was taken down to the labour ward where the midwife stayed with us until her shift ended as we were her last patients upstairs. The new midwife I had was lovely and made labour very relaxing. After 4 and a half hours my baby was here and was given food and a bath. The care I received was fantastic and would recommend ruh to anyone. During my pregnancy I was admitted to hospital a few times and was treated with a lot of care which made the whole process so much easier. I specifically remember a student midwife who was fantastic and very supportive.
"wonderful team of midwives"
