"Hearing loss"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was told it was quite important of me to have an early test by the hospital as I had already had one in BOOTS and he was quite concerned that I had such a large amount of hearing loss in one ear and full hearing in the other.

I have been now told I will have to wait 8 – 10 weeks for an appointment. I am a nurse and have worked in PRH for the 16 years.

Thank you for your feedback.

TRAQS aims to provide an appointment at a convenient location at the earliest possible time. However, we have no control over the waiting lists at any specific hospital or clinic and we are aware that some specialisms are currently experiencing lengthy delays. As a practising nurse I am sure you are aware of these problems. As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to identify your referral details but if you would like to contact TRAQS on 01952 580441 we may be able to locate an alternative hospital which may be able to offer an earlier appointment.

Thank you for writing.
