"Second Visit....."

About: Broadgreen Hospital

I was admitted to have a second ablation on July 4th as can often be the case with this type of procedure. Upon arrival, I was shown into my own room on Amanda Unit and it was lovely. The staff were very nice and put me at ease as I was very nervous, and the anaesthetist too was really nice and caring when I got down into the Electrophysiology room. I only remember the first 5 mins or so then I was put to sleep. When I was awakened I was aware of being very warm and comfortable with no pain whatsoever. The reason I was so cosily warm was due to the fact they had placed a warm air blanket under me. When they removed it they then placed a really warm ordinary blanket over me then I was taken back to my room. I was monitored every 30 mins for a few hours then hourly. I was really felt looked after and cared for. I was allowed home that evening and given plenty of aftercare advice. Great stay and truly great hospital :-)
