"Respectful staff at Liverpool Heart & Lung hospital"

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

My father attended the day ward at the Liverpool Heart & Lung hospital. All staff were very cheerful, respectful and helpful towards my father, who couldn't praise them enough!

I visited the out patients department two weeks later for the results, the doctor was very informative and approachable.

What should change:

Move out patients department nearer to the entrance as it is too far for patients to walk when they have heart and chest problems. Porters can't always be available to provide wheelchairs for everyone.

Thank you.

Thank you for your excellent comments regarding the high quality of care and treatment your father received at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.

With respect to your comment regarding the outpatient department being a long walk for patients attending clinic. We understand that this can be difficult for some patients and therefore provide wheelchairs in the main entrance. If patients do need assistance there are notices in the main reception asking for patients to ask at reception for assistance from the portering service. Assistance will always be provided although on occasions there may be a short delay.
