My local GP practice was running a pilot project to scan old geezeers like me, who felt great but may have a problem.
Glad I took part for one was detected early ..12 months monitoring then big op to repair an abdominal aortic anuerism ..thanks to Wendy, Mr Nyamikie and the guy who put me to sleep, sorry I did not get his name but he prepared me with heart by pass etc ..just in case.
Guts out ..mesh and cable ties round swelling of major blood tube, , sew up..and robert was my fathers brother ..
Sadly 18 months later guts made bid for freedom in shape of three hernias across incision ..but Mr perry sorted that ..now doing ok ..
Cant thank teams enough ..massive hugs to all concerned ..brilliant treatment ..
