"Very happy with this very useful service"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a relative),

My daughter needed a referral to a paediatrician. I was called on my mobile and a message was left asking me to call TRAQS which was associated with the NH. This was great as it maintained patient confidentiality (no name or other info of my daughter was given) but without the mention of the NHS I might have not called as I had never heard of TRAQS and did think initially it could have been a nuisance call. I was offered the soonest appointment which was at a hospital quite far away. I was then offered appointments at my local hospitals, one of which was suitable. Overall, very happy with this very useful service.

Thank you for your feedback.

Please accept my apologies that you were not informed by your GP that your daughter's referral would be sent to and managed by TRAQS. There is a TRAQS patient’s leaflet, which is available to be handed out by all GP Practices/GPs. Each patient who is referred by their GP should be given one of these leaflets which explains the service, the steps in the process and contains contact telephone numbers within TRAQS should you wish to discuss the appointment.

However, it is pleasing to note that the service you did receive from TRAQS was of a high standard and that you received good clear advice.
