"Seen better hospitals in a War Zone"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Absolutely disgusting in every way.The building is dirty, they are grossly understaffed and are in chaos. I rang for 15 minutes to enquire about my mothers condition, the person I spoke to on Ward responded by saying "there is only so much I am prepared to tell you on the 'phone but she looks ok to me, there is no need to drive all the way here from Harrogate". The following day I rang and was told "she has been in surgery for 4 hours and we do not expect her back for another 2 hours, don't come, ring later tonight". I rang later to be told the first person I spoke to was a cleaner and that my mother had not left the ward and was not suitable for neurosurgery! She had been told that day by the Consultant that there was nothing they could do to help her! You decide from that if your aged mother or father is safe there?
