"Head Butt"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Early March 2014 I tripped on my path and head butted a stone around my lawn. My neighbors rang the ambulance who arrived within a few minutes.Very professional crew. I was taken to Tameside A&E and didn't wait long before I was seen by a Dr. who put 8 stitches in my head under local anesthetic. Within 2 hours I was back home. Although the wound came partly down my forehead he did such a marvelous job there is hardly a scar visible. Since then I have suffered with troubles with my hands and was referred to MRI Neurology, that was about 4 weeks ago but since then after several calls to answer phones I have never has a reply and have never spoke to a human being. I saw my Dr. this am who has now referred me to Tameside. I rang Tameside when I got home to inform them that it was on it's way and got another answer phone. I got a reply to my call at 11.24 to say that the secretary I spoke to would keep a look out for the fax message. Service at last, can't get much better than that. It just shows that it is not only Tameside have their problems. At nearly 88 years old never had cause for complaint. They looked after my wife who I lost 12 years ago right to the end and couldn't have done more for her or me at the time. Many thanks Tameside. I am also a regular visitor every 6 months to the Glaucoma clinic
