"My Dad's visit to the Urology out patient dept"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

A very good experience. I attended with my dad. He was seen promptly. The Doctor whose name was? Dr Winjanera (sorry if I've got this wrong) explained everything very clearly to my Dad & allowed him time to ask questions. As his Family Carer I felt welcome & appropriately included in the consultation.

We have always had good experience in urology out-patients dept (Nurse-led & Consultant/Doctor led). I would like to nominate the team for a recognition award.

Trip to pharmacy after the appointment was another good experience, just 15 mins wait. I left Dad's disabled badge in the car, but the volunteer at the desk could see he was in a wheelchair & kindly validated our parking ticket, saving a trip back to the car in a sweltering hot day.

Thank you for being person & family centred.

Thank you for telling us about yours and your father’s experience. It is pleasing to hear you felt the information was well explained to you both and that you felt the care was person centred. We will share these comments with the Urology department and our Voluntary Services department.
