"More privacy needed following screening procedures "

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary / General medicine

(as the patient),

I visited for a screening OPA, the radiographers and nurses were very caring and supportive.

I did find walking back out of the clinic room to face all the patients sat waiting for their appointment distressing as I was upset. Felt I wanted to leave by the back door so I didn't have to walk past them all sat watching. I wonder if this kind of thing is considered during construction.

I work in the health care field and it would never have struck me until I was a patient. I think the nurse sensed this and accompanied me back. Thank you.

We are so sorry to hear of your distress and fully understand your difficulty walking back into the clinic and are sorry we do not have the "back door" you needed at the time.

We do take on board your comments and hopefully at some time in the future we will be able to remedy this situation. We are grateful to you for providing this valuable feedback, please accept our best wishes.
