"Excellent!"

I underwent day surgery at the unit earlier this month (july 2014) and was extremely impressed by every healthcare professional involved in my care, from the moment I arrived. Special thanks should go out to the student nurse who oversaw my admission on her first day on the placement (!) with an impressive display of compassion, aptitude and initiative. The theatre staff were equally impressive when I was wheeled in (nervously) for my anaesthetic. They put me at my ease and somehow managed to make me feel safe, comfortable and so much more than a number, even though I am keenly aware how often they go through this very same process on a daily basis! Well done everyone - it makes me so proud to be a part of the profession - keep up the good - no - excellent work. Thank you.
