"No cost information displayed in NHS hospital"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as the patient),

I recently attended townhead Health Centre which is ajacent to Glasgow royal Infirmary I was discusted to find I would be charged £88. 00 for one visit not only was I shocked but there is clearly no information displayed within in this department for prices that you would be charged I have therfore refused to pay this amount as I think its shocking that there is no clear information given to the patients to inform them off the costs they have to pay for treatment, this also includes the patients they have to see from the Heamophilia Department at the GRI which is rediculous too think the directorate responsible should be looking into why no displayed notices are put in place to let people know

Dear waterloo

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback.

We have passed your comments on to the Oral Health Directorate who will ensure that where clear information is not displayed on each of the PDS sites on the national rules regarding patient charges for dental treatment that this is rectified.

In the meantime if you wish to make a complaint regarding the above please contact complaints@ggc.scot.nhs.uk.

Kind Regards
