What I liked
The information, support and care of my son and I was fantastic. He was helped, encouraged and supported by all the staff and as such was able to handle his treatment and surgery very well, with no fuss, despite the expereience being painful and traumatic for him.
What could be improved
Perhaps a little more honesty about the extent of the problem and how long we were likely to stay in hospital. it wasn't easy on my son or family being told "maybe go home tomorrow" to find out we couldn't, perhaps better to err on the side of caution, so it's positive news rather than negative news?
Anything else?
The nursing staff on Ward 6 North are wonderful! Incredibly kind, considerate and helpful, and inclusive of even a little boy of 6. And the surgical teams who worked on my son were again wonderful with him. Thank you.
