"Winfield Hospital Hernia Repair Day Procedure June..."

About: Winfield Hospital

From the moment of my arrival I was given every attention to ensure that my visit was as stress free and comfortable as it could possibily be. It was my first ever admission to hospital for surgery and at 77 years of age was quite a daunting prospect! However I was immediately made to feel at ease by everyone from the surgeon and anaesthetist, the nurses, the theatre staff who looked after me, with a special word of thanks to the lady who provided a very welcome cup of tea and sandwiches after the operation! I was a day patient and throughout the time I was there nothing seemed too much trouble to ensure that I was as relaxed and comfortable as possible. The building itself was well furnished, light and airy and spotlessly clean throughout. All staff I met were extremely pleasant and helpful and seemed to be very happy in their jobs and eager to please. A telephone call from the hospital I received at home the following day to enquire if all was well and asking if I had any problems or concerns was much appreciated. I can honestly say that there was absolutely nothing that I could criticise or complain about whatsoever, full marks to all concerned!!
