"PALS - what we do"

(as the patient),

The NHS Patient Advice & Liaison Service was set up so that patients, carers, visitors and relatives could tell us their story and the organisation could learn from what happened to them. The service is confidential. We can change things in the organisation so that the same thing doesn't happen to someone else and we can offer a sympathetic, listening ear. We can also hear about the good things and we offer information and advice about health and the health service generally. Many of us are health professionals who have branched out into this area of care. If someone has a problem, a concern, a compliment or a suggestion about their local health service they should be directed to the PALS service for their Trust where they will find a someone who will listen and help.
