Wish I had never gone here! GP Referred me to due extreme sudden onset of head pain for suspected haemorrhage/migraine? A&E were great and very supportive. A3 ward.......filthy old fashioned extreme fluorescent lighting and the noisiest ward ever! Left the sit in a chair for 4 hours without seeing a doctor...in pain. Was only offered paracetamol despite having visited GP as over the counter drugs were ineffective! When asked for tissues as I cried so much I was given a cheap and nasty toilet roll to use. If anyone slept in that ward they must have been drugged or dying.....there was no chance otherwise!......staff dropping things, a truck or bus with its engine running right outside the window, full blown conversations, snoring, coughing and squeaky rusty sounding drip trolleys going up and down the ward! When the 1 and only doctor for this acute medical conditions finally arrived he had a list of 25 people to see.....why do we pay for nhs again?......I have a fear of needles but no one spoke to me about this...they just left me for hours not knowing if I needs a lumbar puncture or not! Found the whole experience disgraceful! I left after 7 hours as I felt far worse than when I arrived.
"Disgusting service left to suffer"
