"Holiday Accident"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I was brought to Wansbeck A&E on July 7th 2014 following a fall at Seahouses. I had broken my wrist, clear even to a non-medical person like me.I was seen very quickly, given painkillers and lots of sympathy and my wrist was manipulated into a better position and a temporary cast put on. An appointment at the fracture clinic was made for me for the next day. I am very grateful for the excellent treatment I received.

Response from Wansbeck Hospital

Dear Angela, Thanks again for sharing this with us and for taking the time to acknowledge both your experience of emergency care and the quality of service from the orthopaedic team. As a Trust we are committed to providing high quality care that is effective and safe but also importantly delivered by kind and caring staff - we know that paying attention to all these aspects of care really matter. We're very grateful for the opportunity to feed this back to our teams and help them know just how much they are appreciated. I do hope you return to the North East soon. With best wishes, Annie
