About: Colchester General Hospital

I was referred by my GP to the emergency assessment unit. Every member of staff was kind, professional & efficient. The care I received was very thorough & delivered in a timely manner. I was seen so quickly & had blood taken, an ECG,ultrasound & Xray. I saw a consultant, junior doctors as well as friendly & skillful nurses. Cold drinks & sandwiches were available. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Brilliant & free at the point of delivery. No wonder the NHS is the envy of the world.
