"Fantastic care given to 3 month old son"

About: The Whittington Hospital

My 3 month old son was admitted to A&E two weeks ago having been referred by GP. The staff at A&E ran some tests and monitored him and he was then admitted to Ifor Ward with suspected meningitis. We were kept in for 5 days and my son did indeed test positive for viral meningitis. This was a terrifying time yet I felt complete confidence in the excellent team of professionals: consultants, doctors, nursing and healthcare staff that we met. Everyone was so warm and kind as well as utterly professional. My son made a full recovery and I will always be grateful to the staff at the Whittington for their excellent care.

It is enormously helpful to hear the experiences of patients who have received good and bad care. We are delighted you and your son received a warm and kind service from the staff in the Accident and Emergency department and have passed your comments to the service lead to share with his staff.
