I am 16 years old, and was referred to the hospital in November 2013 when I was 15 due to a genetic problem causing me to have week and broken teeth and also leaving them severely discoloured for as long as I can remember. (amelogenesis imperfecta). I only know what I do about the condition because I researched it on the internet because the information I was given was not enough and not explained clearly. THE BIG ISSUE: today I was told that after waiting for months for an appointment that my previous dentist has left and that work on my teeth would have to start again after months of cancelled appointments and prints of my teeth which would have to be done again because " they were no where to be seen " is an absolute joke. All I wanted was to improve the appearance of my teeth and thought it wasn't much to ask considering I was in a dental hospital, I have had 5 appointments in the last year which is ridiculous and have gotten nowhere. I feel as though no one cares about me and have been pushed from pillar to post since being referred, it's like no one truly wants to help but the dentists are just there for their wages at the end of the month. I am extremely unsatisfied by the way the dental hospital has dealt with me as a patient.
"It's a joke"
