"Outstanding Hospital"

The Brompton Hospital is a well run and caring environment where patients are treated with respect and dignity at all times. During a recent stay at the Fulham Road Annex I found the nursing staff were first class in their care and extremely professional throughout. The doctors were also excellent and I felt that I was well informed and included in any discussions about my care and treatment. The ward was spotless and regularly cleaned which was impressive considering the limitations of an older building. This did not deter the cleaning staff and they did a very good job. The catering staff were helpful and ensured everyone on the ward had something to eat at the appropriate times. A drinks machine was available for patients to use at any time and was brought around the wards by the catering staff during the day. This hospital makes you feel like a person and not just a hospital number, which is so important when someone is coping with a health problem. Having been a patient at the Brompton for over 10 years I would recommend it to family and friends without any hesitation.
