"Misleading Opening Hours"

About: Altrincham General Hospital

The opening hours of 0800 to 2000 may be strictly correct in the sense that there will be no staff there outside of these hours. However for all practical purposes the MIU closes at 2130, because after that time you will not be able to access the services. I have no complaint about the quality or efficiency of the services, I just don't want to turn up and be faced with a closed door!

We would like to thank you for sharing your concerns via the NHS Choices / Patient Opinion websites regarding your thoughts around accessing services at the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Altrincham Hospital. May we also apologise for the significant delay in responding to your comments. We can confirm that the opening hours of the MIU are 08.00 to 20.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 to 18.00 Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays (with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). It is explained on the Trust website that the last patient will be registered 30 minutes prior to the stated closing time.
