I was in these areas for a biopsy on Monday 21 July. Every patient there is obviously a bit worried & emotional about having to 'go under the knife'. The staff on the ward have just the right amount of efficiency -v- compassion, where they get on with what has to be done, but take time to keep you informed & reassured about what is happening. I had to wait from 12 noon until 4.30pm before I went to theater, and the staff were great in keeping me aware of wahat was going on & making sure I was Ok without being in my face all the time. I think the staff on these units are excellent and should be thanked for their work. They are a credit to west Mid.
