"Great Communication"

About: Victoria Hospital / Neurology

(as a relative),

My mother in law has had a severe stroke and it was difficult getting detailed information from my father in law who is also old and infirm himself. I flew from Australia to be with my mother in law and wanted to commend the way Dr Amit conducted himself. He always made himself available to us, explained things clearly but fully and took as much time that we needed to digest the information, including using Skype to keep her daughter and son, back in Australia, fully informed.

Dear Sammybabe 2

I was looking through the posts on Patient Opinion and noticed that I missed the opportunity to reply - I am sorry about that!

Your feedback is warmly welcomed and I will be delighted to pass this on to Dr Amit and the wider team. It is great to hear that staff recognise the importance of communication and great that they are using technology to support this. This is exactly what we aim to achieve, so thank you once again for taking the time to tell us what worked for your family.

Regards

Louise Ewing
