Went in on referal from my local Hosp for an Angiogram surmising I might need stent(s) due to unstable angina. However soon aparant I needed bypass surgery. Two days later was in HDU and then in recovery ward for about 10 days. Treatment by all staff was freindly and eficient and although there seemed to be too many just doing one job I guess that the way things are today. From Drs of whom I saw very few to nursing staff and auxiliaries and cleaners almost all were prepared to talk and introduce themselves although some had to be asked to do so. Only one refusal and I got her name eventually! Food and menus were more than adequate and varied and enjoyed eating after a few days. Physio was good. All in all a life changeing but good experience. Only disapointment was the atmosphere of the ward in the rather tired building. It was either too cold with drafts or too hot with sun shining through window and Aircon either too feeble, not working or just inefective.
