My nephew, aged 29, was recently admitted to QA with an extrene flare-up of rheumatoid arthritis. He was placed in a ward with 5 women, some elderley and suffered acute discomfort and embarrassment, as I know did the women. When will this degrading practice end? I understood that the goverment were doing away with mixed wards but I see no evidence of it.
