What I liked
Ward G1 - room 11 was always kept very clean due to some very dedicated cleaning staff. Nurses and doctors used hand gel regularly. I was dreading going into hospital after hearing about cases of MRSA in some hospitals but YDH seems to be clear obviously thanks to improvements in hygiene standards. Staff were very friendly and helpful even when faced with some 'difficult' patients!
What could be improved
Could have done with more information leaflets on follow up exercises on leaving hospital, seemed to be a shortage.
Anything else?
The consultant who performed my operation visited the ward to see his patients almost every day which was very re-assuring (even on a Saturday morning!) Can't fault his work, my reconstruction looks brilliant.
