As an outpatient of Barnsley General Hospital, I have to say I have been impressed by the considerate and professional manner in which patients are dealt with. The general areas are always clean and it is well signposted throughout. The hospital also has a cafe which is staffed by volunteers. The service is good and, in a world dominated by hospitals with costa coffee franchises, where a coffee costs more than the average price of a bungalow in Ardsley, the prices are cheap. The toasted tea cakes are wonderful! My recovery from a serious accident has been bolstered and accelerated by the care I have had from this brilliant hospital. I am very proud of the NHS, very proud of Barnsley, and very proud that the General is in our town. Thank you.
"Great hospital for a great town"
