"A & E treatment."

While visiting the area, I damaged my knee to the point where I could not walk. I was most concerned as I was 200 miles from home and did not know how I was going to return. My wife dropped me at A & E where I fully expected at least a 4 hour wait to see any body. To my amazement I was seen within the hour and had an Xray within the second hour. The consultant reviewed the results and arranged for a visit to the fracture clinic the following day. It ended up that i left the hospital just under 3 hours after arriving admittedly with crutches but at least mobile. Considering that the A & E department was undergoing a full make over at the time, I could not have asked more from them or the team in the fracture clinic that I saw the following day.
