"thoughtful care from considerate staff"

About: The Whittington Hospital

We waited 4 hours in A&E before my partner actually saw a doctor but the staff could not have been kinder or more considerate during that time. They were very attentive to the fact he felt very unwell and during the wait they did blood tests for a possible more serious condition than in the end he had, so these results were available for the doctor. I thought the department seemed understaffed but the staff who were there were outstanding.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on your experience of attending our Accident and Emergency department. We are really pleased to hear that you were treated with kindness and consideration. We are sorry you were delayed in seeing a doctor that day. We try to see patients at the earliest possible time but delays are sometimes inevitable due to the nature of the department. We can not comment on the staffing levels for the day you attended but would be very happy to investigate further if you would to like contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALs) with more details. PALs can be contacted on whh-tr.whithealthpals@nhs.net or by calling 020 7288 5551.
