Having had discussions with a senior staff member on Duppas 1 ward regarding the treatment of a patient, I was somewhat taken back by her apparently totally dismissive attitude. Raising a number of issues, my overriding impression of her responses were "well, what do you want me to do about it". She consistently seemed to avoid discussing the problems I was attempting to raise and kept reverting back to questioning me about what I considered trivial details.
