I was recently in fotherby ward for a calcaneous osteotomy. The consultant has been brilliant. He operated on my left foot 2 years ago. I was so pleased with the treatment and care that I was more than happy for him to do my right foot. The doctor was equally as good. From the moment I arrived to leaving I was kept informed with everything. The team in theatre and recovery were amazing. The nurse's on Fotherby ward are incredible. The care I received from them was 5 star. They ensured my pain was under control, I was fed, watered and made comfortable. Anyone who's been in hospital will know the gowns are hideous. The nurse's always made sure I kept my dignity (great gaping back). One nurse in particular I must mention, I could hear her voice most of the time and her little comments to her colleagues made me smile. Straight talking nurse with lot's of passion. Every member of staff i had contact with treated me with respect and dignity. Although im only a week post op and still have many more appointments I'm sure I'll continue to receive the best care. Thank you
"The best care"
