"My stay in hospital Fern ward"

When I first arrived I was really scared and non compliant. I was instantly approached by staff nurse who quickly worked on building a repore. I had bad days and good. Although the staff where very short and pushed I felt supported at the times I needed mostly. They where cruel but kind. The exact approach that was appropriate for my needs. Im an obsessive person who likes to be in control and I felt that I was given the chance to do that when possible and safe. The Doctors where always there when I needed them.(even if it wasnt what I wanted to hear). I did however notice some small inconsistencies withing staff and communications. God knows how with the amount of time they spend in handover. I guess there is alot to talk about. My aftercare has been arranged and hopefully I will be well again soon. Thankyou to all staff at hospital especially the doctor, the Support worker, the staff nurses. I Know im hard work at times but its the way I roll. Hopefully wont see you all again peace out Rebecca Bridgman

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience it is always helpful for us to understand how the service is experienced by our patients. I am the acting ward manager and on behalf of nursing team I am sorry if you had to wait to finish handover to get something, but it is vital to have regular handover between shifts to provide proper continuous care for our service users. We do have systems in place to meet patient care during hand over, but sometimes due to increased work load and staff shortage things may get delayed. Thanks for your feed back and the team will take this seriously and will make changes to improve our service.
