"Reasonable wait for a non-emergency diagnosis"

About: The Whittington Hospital

After reading reviews, I was worried that because I wasn't coming in with something swollen or bleeding, my wait time would be horrendous. And yes, people who came in after me were called before me, but to get X-Rays, so I completely understood. The reception queue moved quickly and the receptionist, while not overly friendly, asked her questions efficiently. The navigator saw me within five minutes but her declaration that it wasn't an emergency and wait time was currently four hours had me disheartened. However, I spent only two hours total between arrival and departure. I was seen by a doctor who gave me her best diagnosis, though unfortunately it is one of those 'wait it out' things. Still, I was given peace of mind and an information sheet and very friendly service. She listened to me ramble and was very kind. All-in-all, I'm glad this place is just a short walk for me in case I need something more immediate than my GP appointment. You have one more happy patient and as I hope to be referred there for other things in the near future, I hope this experience bodes well for future visits. Thank you for disproving the negative reviews so that I could write a positive one.
