"Regret asking for physiotherapy"

About: Ysbyty Gwynedd / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a total hip replacement in January 14, at Countess of Chester as my local general hospital were unable to do the operation. My hip was deformed so was re-built by the surgeon Prof Harrison.

Recovering well except had to go all the way to Chester again for physio. Needed help with exercise and getting movement in hip so asked my GP to refer me to Bangor for further Physio. Saw the physio on Monday told them my history and told them I was trying to get more flexible as I couldn't cut my toenails etc and don't have anyone to help.

Can't get help from the NHS and can't afford to pay out money for private care. The physio manipulated my hip and gave me exercises to follow. I have been in so much pain since. I can't sleep or relax and am limping as well as my hip giving way. Up until my appointment on Monday I was pain free.

I bitterly regret asking for help now and am petrified the physio damaged my hip. I can't afford any time off work but will have to ask for help from Chester on Monday - because I'm at my wits end.
