A year ago I was pregnant for the first time. Sadly I lost my waters at 21 weeks and the outlook was extremely bleak. We were assigned to a consultant Dr Belgaumkar who supported us through the most devastating news of our lives.
We were given scans every 2 weeks and Dr Belgaumkar and his team gave me a steroid injection that was so perfectly timed that you would think he had the gift of foresight.
So with the greatest of thanks to this wonderful man & his team, we gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy. Although he was extremely poorly, having been born 8 weeks early weighing only 3lb 11oz, our little boy was perfect and defied all odds.
He is now a thriving 16 month old baby who is the most happy little boy I have ever had the privilege to know.
We truly believe that without Dr Belgaumkar's timing for the steroid injection, things could (and probably would) have been completely different. We cannot thank you enough and if we could nominate you for an award then we would.
"If we could nominate you for an award we would"
