Last week I was admitted to the East Surrey Hospital. Having read in the media many negative stories about the NHS I was somewhat apprehensive as to my treatment. I need not have been concerned.
I was astonished at the level of kindness, courtesy, and sheer professionalism of all the staff, from the ambulance crew who took me in, the admission staff, the porter, the staff who checked I had eaten, the doctors who went to great lengths to explain every procedure.
I was accompanied by my daughter, an ex nurse, and she too was very impressed!
I thank you and your excellent staff and conclude by saying that the East Surrey Hospital has set the benchmark which other hospitals should strive to attain.
