"Trying to track down my relative"

(as a relative),

My relative was in Emergency Assessment Unit and due to have surgery in the morning. We phoned in the afternoon and I went in the evening to try and visit. The lady on main reception was enormously helpful looking up information and giving me the phone to call a two different areas, and suggesting what to do. I later visited the two wards where my relative was likely to go after the operation, and the unit where she had left from- again people were very helpful, especially the nurse in ward 11 who took me round to find somebody to ask in ward 12. People were all very helpful, but the information wasn't there or not up to date. Hope the new patient information system will make this easier. Thanks also reception for taking a card to put in internal mail.
