"Hysterectomy & skin cancer remover"

About: Ormskirk & District General Hospital

I have recently had, amongst other procedures, a hysterectomy at this hospital. I cannot fault the care I have received on Ward E and associated departments. I was treated with care and respect at all times. Everyone made me feel relaxed about my operation, talking me through everything that was going to happen. A smile at the right time makes a big difference! Over the last year, I have also been visiting the Dermatology dept regularly, after the removal of a mole (which was diagnosed as spreading malignant melanoma). My care before and after has been exemplary in both cases. My pre-op nurse made me feel like she was a good friend who would do her best for me and I could contact her with any worries. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these Departments to my friends, if they find themselves in need of them. A credit to the NHS!
