"In good hands"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

My American grandson was brought in on Tuesday evening after cutting his chin in a fall. He was looked after by a Dr who was so kind and considerate with my gransdson who in turn was a model patient but only due to the way he was looked after. It was my daughter in law's first experience of the NHS and she was so impressed. Thank you all very much for your excellent service and special thanks to the Dr.

Dear Mr. Graham, Thank you so much for taking the time to contact us about your family’s recent experience at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. I am sorry to hear that you Grandson had an accident, this must have been very worrying for you all, and however I am delighted that you found the care to be of such a high standard at our hospital. You must be very proud that he was such a model patient! I think it is easy for us at times in the UK, to take our NHS for granted, however it is good to have such a reminder that the services we provide are world class.
