"Diagnosed with retina tear on the 19th June14"

About: Western Eye Hospital

Offered initial treatment by injection (30% successful) I accepted and was told this would be carried out in about 4 x weeks. When after three weeks the hospital had not made contact I tried to phone the doctor's PA, but she seemed disintrest to my concerns, she said I will try to speak with the doctor and phone back with-in two days, I suspected this would be unlikely, so therefore was not supprised when she did not. On subsequent phone calls to the hospital no further information could be obtained, just passed between three or four departments, before being cut off I believe there is some urgency to my treatment to prevent the retina becoming detached. I have asked my GP if I should start again, maybe at Morefields? But he said he would write to the hospital to find out what was happening. I am still waiting to hear the result. Mean while my sight continues to deteriate!
