My mum was admitted to A&E following a heart attack in February. She spent some time in intensive care and then in the high dependency section before moving to a side room whilst recovering from a trachioctomy. At all times we felt that she was being well looked after. Her rooms (she did have her own room because of the risk of infection) were very nice, the last one had an en suite bathroom. The nurses were caring and supportive. And flexible with visiting hours. They couldn't have done more for her; the speech therapist in particular went out of her way to help my mum. The facilities and equipment are certainly better than Barnet and Chase Farm. Of the three hospitals I know that if I had a choice I would go for North Mid every time.
