"Physiotherapy"

About: Gosport War Memorial Hospital

I broke my neck of femur in January 2014 and was assigned to a therapist in the physio department. She was personable, efficient and more than anything else prepared to allow me to be involved in my own rehab. Being a sportswoman , I wanted a quick fix return to all my activities , mostly distance running, she kept me grounded and realistic but encouraged me to push myself to limits we agreed on. I admit to being arrogant in thinking I knew exactly what was required for me but she politely yet authoritatively kept me engaged and impressed by her depth of knowledge. She gave me exercises I had never seen before! As a result I am back running 6 months ahead of schedule, pain free and more efficient than I was before. At 56 that is a bit of a miracle, thank you to the therapist and all the NHS who helped me , you are all amazing !

We are very pleased to hear about your experience with the physio department and the personalised care that you received. I can assure you that this will be shared with her. Thank you for taking the time to post your compliments. We are also happy to hear that you now enjoy pain free running. Kind regards Complaints and PALS
