"Made me feel like I mattered at Minor Ops "

About: Tameside General Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I recently attended the Dermatology Minor Ops Department at Tameside Hospital for a procedure. From the moment I was called in to the treatment room I was greeted by a friendly smiling nurse and immediately felt at ease.

I then met Katie the specialist nurse practitioner who introduced herself and the two members of her team. All three nurses were very welcoming and pleasant. Katie explained all aspects of my procedure which made me feel reassured. The team were chatty and on several occasions had me laughing with them. This made me relax and really helped calm my nerves.

Katie told me exactly what she was doing throughout my procedure and I was never left to wonder. I found the team to be extremely professional, warm and welcoming. I have worked for the Health Service for over 36 years and this was my first experience of being a patient. Needless to say I was very impressed with Katie and her staff and I personally think they are an absolute credit to Tameside and the Health Service.

Please pass on my thanks to these very special nurses.

They made me feel like I mattered and I couldn't have been in better hands. First class service all round ladies!
