Following an apparent misdiagnosis by a Neurologist, I had to undergo a spinal operation. Although the op was a success, I have not received any form of treatment or medication apart from a small daily dose of co-codamol.
I started the official complaints procedure but have given up due to what I consider blatant misrepresentations in the hospital) response. The complaints procedure is obviously designed to put people off which is what has happened to me and I am now looking at going public.
Just a couple of examples of bad treatment I have had to endure.
Being only offered meat for meals when I am vegetarian.
Despite having physical pains, all I am told is I am suffering with depression which is not the case.
Despite experiencing blackouts and periods of unconsciousness, nobody seems bothered and these have not been investigated.
It appears I am on some list somewhere as I cannot get a doctors appointment or treatment (been trying for four weeks). It was a joke when I last saw my doctor (back in May) who just suggested taking painkillers (co-codamol).
These are only some of the problems I am having with the NHS in Newcastle.
Great way to treat ex-service personnel.
