"My husband was admitted via the ..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

(as a relative),

What I liked

My husband was admitted via the air ambulance service after falling walking the dog on Helmand Tor whilst away for the weekend. The air ambulance arrive promptly as well as an ambulance. All medical staff were excellent and very friendly and efficient. He was flown to Treliske hospital where his leg and ankle were x-rayed and reset. I was due to have hospital treatment myself 2 days later back in Nottingham where we live. We explained the situation to the doctors and even though my husband would normally have had to stay in hospital for up to 7 days due to his injury, they immediately operated and allowed him to be discharged the next day to return to our local hospital to recover. The experience was very swift and all staff showed compassion for our situation. I wish all hospital experiences were the same as we experienced at Treliske! Thank you again to all of the staff who do a brilliant job.
