My father in law was taken into New Cross on June 5th after suffering a stroke. He was in the acute stroke unit until July 11th when he was transferred to West Park Hospital. In all that time we have not received any official feedback on his diagnosis or prognosis . Communication has been one way and getting information is like getting blood from a stone. We have been told he has also suffered a heart attack whilst being in New Cross but again no official feedback or communication has been raised with us. No one has told us what medication he is on and any side effects from this. As one of your values is involving the family in all decisions about treatment I am sure you will want to investigate and improve this issue. Hopefully West park Hospital will fully compensate for New Cross shortcomings and reinstall my faith in the NHS.
